If an executive has been in a leadership role for a while, they have likely already cultivated a personal brand for themselves (i.e., he’s the AI guru). However, both new and seasoned executives have the opportunity to shape and redefine what their personal brand is among their peers. The following helps an executive walk through that process in 3 steps.
First, the executive should reflect on whether they have a personal brand already associated with them. Likely, if the executive has been in a leadership role for many years, they have some brand associated with them (whether it was intentional or not). A younger executive might be in a position to create a personal brand from scratch as they have not developed one yet.
