How it works

The timeframe covered and the level of analysis for each metric will be calculated for display. This is an important consideration driven by two factors: timeliness of decision-making and end-user preferences. Some reports will be run and reported daily or weekly, while others might be better suited for monthly or quarterly calculations.

The HR function will decide on the desired timing or timeframe covered (e.g., by day, week, month, or year) for each metric and analysis. The number and types of transactions that occur should be considered when determining the appropriate length of time to track and report on.  For example, costs for recruiting or training might be best collected and reported on a monthly basis, while the number of hires or trained employees might be best tracked and reported on a weekly basis.
