How it works

Every organization begins their DEI journey in a different place. A current state assessment is an essential tool for understanding an organization’s DEI maturity. The assessment should leverage quantitative and qualitative data to provide insight on current areas of strength, identify improvement opportunities, and prioritize next steps. Using the assessment as a benchmark, the organization will be able to reflect and evaluate progress towards its DEI goals over time.

The U.S. Government’s Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) requires every company with 100+ employees to report demographic data by race/ethnicity, veteran’s status, sex, pay, and job grade. HR practitioners may have more or less data available to them, depending on their organization’s maturity and the amount of employee self-ID data  collected.
