Purpose

This template provides a structure for creating a DEI recruiting plan for target candidate pools. It helps ensure alignment with the Recruitment Strategy and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategy.

How to use this tool

This tool is useful for documenting which target candidate pools the organization needs to engage from a diversity recruiting perspective.  It is a starting point and users can add more granularity as needed. DEI practitioners and recruiting leaders should own this document. They can begin by listing the demographics that the diversity recruiting plan should support – this information will be informed by the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategy. Next, they should detail which DEI metrics the organization can make progress on by recruiting from those demographics. It is important to identify the priority roles that need filling, making sure to reference the organization’s general recruiting goals and demonstrate knowledge of which roles could most benefit from increased diversity.
