Purpose

A format for guiding and recording the planning of both employee volumes and strategic actions to be taken to close talent gaps projected to occur in the future population of critical role workers for workforce planning uses. 

How to use this tool

Conducting a meeting of top functional and HR experts responsible for critical role(s), the Workforce Planning function identifies the targeted critical role(s), the current population size, and the primary strategy or objective to be achieved. HR metrics and reports are reviewed for historical loss or turnover rates and any expected increases due to long-term strategic plan initiatives.
